It is sad for me to have our readers looking at this, It is a shame, it is outrageous, how a representative of the people of Honduras, a career diplomat who answer not to any president but to the rightful government of Honduras is almost thrown out because he doesn’t pledge allegiance to Zelaya. I ask, is Honduras a Zelaya’s property? or does it belong to the people of Honduras?.
Should diplomats pledge allegiance to someone or to the state of Honduras?
I have lost my faith on International Institutions, i was looking forward after finishing my master to aim for a job at the UN or FAO, but now they seem like a completely undemocratic body of burocrats, nothing more. Why would they prioritize Human Rights watching in Honduras instead of Cuba, Venezuela and all those countries where there are real human rights violations. They should be fighting for the human rights of the honduran children instead. What about the human rights of the 86% of the population of Honduras who are to be violated if Zelaya ever comes back.
Human Rights are important but when a criminal violates the rights of millions of people what is more important, i think anyone of you would agree than violating the right to the life of Adolf Hitler in 1933 would have been better than World War II.
Mr. Urbizo, Honduras await for you as a Hero.
